HLGA Top 25 Determination

Introduction:

The HLGA point based system is used to determine the Top 25 players for the end-of-year HLGA Shootout.  The 25 players with the most points at the end of the HLGA tournament year will be invited to participate in the HLGA Shootout, our last golfing event.

Point System:

  • The basis for the HLGA point system is the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) point system used to determine who participates in their year-end CME Group Tournament.

  • There are up to four places that our HLGA awards in our regular play-days and special events, so points will be awarded for up to four places (depending upon the size of the flights).   Note:  Points will be split for ties, for example, two golfers tie for second, they split the points awarded to 2nd place and 3rd place.

  • In multiple player team events, all players on the team will receive full allocation of points.  For example, in a 1st place finish for a regular playday 2-person event, both players will receive 500 points.

  • Points will be higher for our Member/Member special events to encourage participation.
