Registration is on a separate Golf Genius Event because we are signing up guests. (i.e. - sign-ups are not via this calendar on our League portal). HLGA member should register both HLGA and HMGA members at the same time.

Pro Lady Qualifier

(and regular Low Gross/Low Net for those who do not want to participate in the Qualifier)

The Pro Lady Qualifier finds the best team to represent The Hills Country Club at the Invited Pro Lady Tournament - Tentative Location - Stonebriar CC in Frisco, TX on July 27 -29 (see TBD FLYER).  The format of the tournament is a Shamble Quota with a five-player team (four LGA women and a Pro), therefore, teams will qualify using the same format (minus the pro) as the actual tournament. 

Here's how the qualifying format works: 

Four-player teams - Shamble Quota.

Each player will tee off from the SILVER tees. After initial drive, everyone will play her own ball from the location of the best drive until the ball is holed. The best 2 of 4 points earned for each hole will become the team total. Points will be earned as follows:

1 point for gross bogey

2 points for gross par

3 points for gross birdie

4 points for gross eagle

6 points for gross double eagle or hole in one

Minimum Drive Requirements:

“A” Player – 3 Drives

“B” Player – 3 Drives

“C” Player – 2 Drives

“D” Player – 1 Drive

Sample Calculation for Team Quota (using a combined team handicap of 40):

Combined Team Handicap = 40

Multiply by 70% (Adjustment for Shamble at 70% of CH)

40 x 0.7 = 28 (Adjusted Team Handicap)

Quota Points 144 (4 players x 36 pts)

Minus Adjusted Team Handicap 144-28 = 116

Multiply by 50% (Adjustment for 2 of 4 point totals per hole) 116 x 0.5 = 58

Team Quota for Round = 58 (rounded to nearest whole number)

When the tournament is complete, the team with the HIGHEST total points minus their Team Quota will be the qualifying team and will represent The Hills in the Pro-Lady Tournament. 

The club will provide the 1st place team with two team shirts and their entry fee of $1600(est) will be covered.  If the second place team would like to participate in the Pro-Lady, they will be allowed, however, it will be at their expense.

This is a two-day eclectic, best-ball, team tournament. Pins will stay in the same positions on both days. Teams record their best gross and net scores on each hole from either the first or the second day for their final scores.  Maximum score on any hole is net double bogey, Pick up on day two if you cannot beat your previous day’s score.

Teams: Each team consists of two players. Players receive 95% of their handicap (capped at 36).

Players may not have more than a 10-stroke differential between handicaps. Higher handicaps will be adjusted, as needed, to fulfill this requirement.

The Women's Club, Senior, and Super Senior "Signature" Club Championships are a 36 hole individual stroke play two day tournament  event open to all Signature women members. 

You must be 55 years old or more to qualify for Senior "Signature" Club Champion.

You must be 70 years old or more to qualify for Super Senior "Signature" Club Champion.

Requires a minimum of 6 players in each category.
